Just yesterday, I was an ordinary woman, eating oatmeal and charting ordinary weekdays. Today, I am a webcam model, and this first week working behind the camera has turned my perception of the world upside down. I admit, I approached this with a degree of skepticism, mixed with fear and curiosity. There were concerns that it would be difficult, humiliating, or, conversely, too easy and addictive. I feared the slightest details: how to set up the lighting, what angle to choose, how to hold myself in front of the camera so as not to look awkward. But the chat quickly dispelled my fears. People turned out to be surprisingly tactful and friendly. They advised, encouraged, and created an atmosphere where I began to feel more confident. This live feedback, this instant response – this is what I had been missing so much in my ordinary life.
